- whose father Arthur was in the NFS at Bubwith, advised that the fire station then was just a tin hut containing a 'small pump'. When they were on duty at night, his father, and another fireman, Alan Lawton, used to sleep in an adjoining tennis hut that, it would seem, still survives although now considerably altered
